This is the first in my Configurations series. The mirrored skyscrapers in downtown Houston, which give distorted reflections of their neighboring buildings, inspired this quilt. I replicated this feeling with photo transfers and wonky piecing using my hand dyed and commercial fabrics. It was a second place winner in the IQA show in Houston, TX and a Juror’s Award at the Whistler House Museum of Art in Lowell, MA.
